Zionist Apartheid

It is real, it is alive, and we are the only ones who can do something about it.

A Jewish guy invited me on Facebook to be his friend, which I though was very strange, but there was always the chance that this was one of those few enlightened souls who, like me, has a serious issue with the conflict and the misery and pain which it has caused on both sides of the Zionist Apartheid wall.

Shortly after we became friends he posted a picture of the Western Wall (also known as the Wailing Wall) on his profile to which I made the comment “Pity about the Apartheid like restrictions on the Palestinians over there”

This sparked an outcry from his Israeli-Jewish friends on Facebook, accusing me of anti-Semitism and a decent proportion of personal insults.

The big issue it seems was the fact that I dared to call Israel an Apartheid state, and the reasoning behind this was that there was Arab Israeli’s who are citizens of Israel and who has the same rights as any other Jewish Israeli, but does anyone remember Bantustans where black South Africans had semi-autonomy, but they were still viewed as second class citizens?

I tried to explain in vein to this new Facebook friend and his friends that the conflict between the Jewish people and the Palestinian people started after the Jewish Diaspora when Theodor Herzl had a dream to establish a homeland for the Jews.

In 1947 the UN gave 55% of the Palestinian territory which was a British mandate to the Jews (who numbered 602 2586, or 31% of the total population) who returned to Israel after WWII, and the remaining 45% went to the Indigenous Palestinians (who numbered 1 339 763, or 69% of the total population)

At the time of this partition, the Jewish population owned less than 6% of Palestine

After this event things escalated dramatically and Zionist Apartheid was born.  As any rational man can expect, this would not have sat well with the Palestinian people and things quickly went downhill from there, and one has to ask, what gives the United Nations the right to give away land which are inhabited, owned and developed by one group of people to another group people?

When I pointed out the walls which were erected and the checkpoints which were manned by IDF soldiers I was reminded that I must remember, these are two different nations, one Israeli, and one Palestinian, and the Palestinians were hell bent on destroying the Israeli way of life, and that this justified the Zionist Apartheid (with exclusion of the Israeli Arabs who were according to these new friends of mine equal citizens in Israel)

So, do you think that Zionist Apartheid is real or not, and what can we do to help the Israelis and the Palestinians to resolve the issue?
